Florence Richmond, age 71, passed away on Friday, November 11, 2016 at Saratoga Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on July 18, 1945 in Saratoga Springs, NY, the daughter of the late George Washington Hibbert III and Florence Kitchner Hibbert.    

Florence married Edward Richmond on Sept. 15, 1962, and they had a fun filled life together raising there children. 

Florence was a Bus Monitor for ARC for many years.  She enjoyed bingo, crocheting, crafts, cooking and going to the Elvis impersonator shows.  She was a kind, caring and compassionate woman who had a passion for life.  She was the type of person who left a permanent impression on everyone she met, but most of all she was very gentle, gracious, and compassionately devoted to her family.   

She is survived by her loving husband, Edward “Eddie “Richmond”;  mother; Florence Kitchner Suttle; son, Ronald Richmond; daughter, Mary Jane Richmond; brother, Ernie Suttle; sisters, Helen Persons, Virgina Knapp, Lillian Curley, Cathy La Montain, Melody Suttle; sister-in-law, Sandra Ovitt (James); brother-in-laws, John Richmond (Norma), Ronald Richmond (Linda), James Richmond; grandchild, Rachel Richmond and godson, Scott Ovitt and many nieces and nephews.  

She is preceded in death by her father; son, Anthony Edward; brother, George W. Hibbert IV; sister, Mary Jane Hibbert.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave. (Rte 9 and/or Marion Ave.), Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.  Family and friends may call from 9:30 am – 10:45 am prior to the service at the funeral home.

Interment will be at St. Peter’s Cemetery, 150 West Ave, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 following the service.
