I was so deeply saddened to learn of Billy's passing. It really hits home when it is someone you have known your entire life. There are not many people who fit into that category and we have lost a special one. We have so many childhood memories and crazy adventures that I will always remember. Your laughter and stories will surely be missed. May you rest in peace and know our hearts are heavy without you. My sincere condolences to your loved ones.

I met Billy Dorey 36 years ago. To even put that number on paper sounds amazing, 36 years ago. I don't think Billy really cared for me at first; I kind of have that way at times. Over the next 36 years Billy and I became friends, as anyone what who ever spent any time with him. He was kind. The type of person who made you feel better the moment you saw him. His smile and Gentleway invited you to laugh with him. In all 36 years I always remember Billy smiling and laughing, even in moments in life one wouldn't. He was contagious. He made you want to enjoy life, especially the time spent with him. Billy always would help whoever and wherever he could. He never seem too busy or too important to lend a hand. Finding a new story as he helped. There were always stories, sometimes new ones and sometimes old ones that got bigger and better each time he told them. Billy had a way to tell them that made you long for more, you couldn't wait to hear the next one. I'm very happy that I i'm sure my name came up in a few of those stories. Thank you Billy and I am sure God can't wait to hear stories. Your friend,

This news has effect so many of us. Truly very sad. I lived on North Street and I've known Billy for many years, our paths crossing throughout the years. This is so heartbreaking! My condolences to Bill's family and all his and friends and his co-workers at Ball Metal!! He was a great friend and an awesome neighbor!! Always driving around checking to make sure everything was okay in the neighborhood and to find out any new gossip!! My fondest memory was the year we had a wind storm come through our neighborhood and many neighbors went over to his house to help try and get the trees off his pool in the backyard and help clean up. And then we all hung out in the driveway drinking and laughing!! Many good laughs and jokes! You will be missed Bill!!
