I contacted Agatha Valentine at the Liberty Children's Home in Belize about sending donations in Tom's memory. She confirmed the Belize address, but said the donations are sent to them soon if made through 'A Broader View' (www.abroaderview.org) I will post more details on where to mail donations as I get them. I wanted to share part of what Agatha said:
"We will surely miss him. I will keep her (Fran) in my prayers and do a moment of silence for him at Liberty this evening when all the children are home."

Tom was a very, very nice man. That may sound tame by today's standards, but never underestimate the power of just being a totally decent human being. I was fortunate to have him in my extended family and to know him for a time. He did what you are supposed to do; leave the earth a nicer place than you found it. I have heard it said that when a person dies, their life is measured in the time span of: date of birth--date of death... it's what you do in between those dates that really matters. RIP Tom, you will be missed.

I hadn't seen Tom in many years and we are very sorry for your loss. I grew up on Rogge Road with Tom and his siblings. Coni & Bob Tracki

Tom was a sweet, gentle man. I'm so glad we got to know him through our friendship with Fran. He was the love of her life. We will miss him, and are sad for his family's loss. Lisa & Tom Rapple
