Owner/Funeral Director/Embalmer
Rolland has worked in the funeral industry for over twenty years as a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer. Born and raised in the Upstate New York area, the youngest of seven children, Rolland graduated from Hartford High School, Hartford, NY, class of 1991.
Following graduation, he continued his education attending SUNY Canton from 1991 -1993, earning his associate degree in Applied Science/Mortuary Science.
Rolland served family’s in the community in Sarasota Florida for five years as a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer as well as thirteen years in Salt Lake City, Utah prior to moving back to his home state, New York.
In March of 2011 he followed his dream of opening up his own Funeral home, Compassionate Funeral Care, Inc in which he now serves many family’s with compassion and care. He is also very active in his community, Rolland is a devoted member of the NYSFDA, the Saratoga-Wilton Elks Lodge 161. He was awarded the distinguished Elks Citizen Award, presented by the Mayor of Saratoga Springs.
Rolland is a devoted father and in his spare time he enjoys boating on Lake George and quiet time at camp with his family.
Office Manager
Rebecca serves as the
Office Manager, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations with a
focus on efficiency, time management, and streamlined administrative processes.
Her duties encompass a
wide range of responsibilities, including managing collections for all accounts
receivable, verifying and processing payments for accounts payable invoices,
handling the receipt and deposit of cash payments and checks, conducting reconciliations
for all accounts, and updating General Price Lists (GPL’s). Additionally, she
manages the procurement of office supplies, conducts inventory counts,
coordinates the processing and receiving of merchandise orders, which includes
memorial items, caskets, vaults, and urns.
Rebecca's role extends
beyond administrative tasks. She also serves families with professionalism and
compassion, maintaining and updating family records, keeping the company
website current with obituaries, and ensuring obituaries are published in newspapers.
She assists in the preparation and oversight of funeral and cemetery-related
forms, handles state-required paperwork, aids families in processing life
insurance claims, administers new hire paperwork, and maintains confidential
employee files and records.
Furthermore, as part of
her responsibilities, Rebecca meets with families to guide them through
arrangements, contributes to the design of memorial items and videos, and
assists in the preparation and ordering of monuments. In her capacity as Office
Manager, she can provide assistance with statements of services and Life
Insurance claims.
In collaboration with her brother, Rolland, Rebecca is also dedicated to maintaining the comfort and visual appeal of their facilities, both indoors and outdoors. Outside of her professional role, she is a devoted mother and grandmother and actively participates in her local church community.
