William Arthur Slack

William Arthur Slack aged 70, peacefully passed away on February 22, 2024, in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on August 29, 1953, in West Islip, NY, to Arthur W. Slack and Ruth (Butler) Slack.

William dedicated his career as a carpenter to the NYC/Bronx Carpenters Local Union, where he honed his craft with diligence and skill.

Beyond his professional pursuits, William found joy in simple pleasures such as being with his family, gardening, bird watching, caring for his animals, indulging in the occasional game of lotto, and savoring a sweet baked treat prepared by his favorite daughter in law Carrie.

He leaves behind his devoted wife, Carol (Grace) Slack, and is survived by his son, William J Slack, daughter in law Carrie (Mousseau) Slack, daughters Kristin Slack (Anthony Furino), Kimberly Slack (Brian Combs) and his six beautiful grandchildren Kaden Slack, Madden Slack, Elyanah Slack, Giovanni Gange, Skylar Furino and Anthony Jax Furino.

Family are invited to pay their respects during the calling hours, scheduled from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Compassionate Funeral Care, located at 402 Maple Ave (Rte 9 and/or Marion Ave), Saratoga Springs, New York. Following calling hours, a celebration of William's life will commence at 2:00 pm.
