Vincent J. Trichilo

Vincent J. Trichilo, age 90, peacefully passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loved ones. 

He was born on November 10, 1932 in Albany, NY, the son of the late Carlo Trichilo and Mary Scavullo Trichilo.

Vince graduated from Philip Schuyler High School, Albany, NY.

Vincent worked at the United States Postal Service up until his early retirement to enjoy his life with his family and friends.  His greatest joy was cooking for his family, where every meal was spent together with a warm heart and laughter.  Vince loved nothing more than attending school activities and sporting events for all the kids in his family and even for those who were not part of the family.  This was the kind of man Vince was to all who knew him.  Everywhere he went people were immediately drawn to his generosity, warmth, and good will.  Vincent also enjoyed, golfing, holiday’s, sneaking off to the racetrack, stopping in at Stewarts, and Pellegrino’s.  Vince will be remembered for sneaking his cigars and taking the children out to Stewart’s for junk food that they probably were not supposed to eat. He will be greatly missed by everyone. 

Vincent is survived by his beloved wife, Frances Valentine Trichilo; children, Thomas Valentine (Tamara), Margaret Valentine (John Angelos); grandchildren, Sage Byrne, Matthew Cerone, Liam Gibney, Madeline Valentine, Elle Valentine; great-grandchildren, Sofia Gallagher, Grace Byrne, Alice Byrne; sister, Mary Zarecki (Tom); sister-in-law, Natalie Chickie Trichilo; many nieces, nephew, great nieces, and great nephews who meant the world to Vincent.   

He is also preceded in death by his brother, Maurice Trichilo.

A celebration and remembrance of a life well lived will begin at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave. (Rte 9 and/or Marion Ave.), Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.  Family and friends may call from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon prior to the celebration and remembrance of life.
