Victoria Taylor

Victoria Taylor, age 65, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 20, 2026, at Saratoga Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

Victoria was born on May 11, 1960, in Vestal, New York, to the late Neil and Helen (Candee) Gillson.

Victoria was retired at the time of her passing. During her professional career, she was employed by Wolters Kluwer and Prentice Hall Legal and Financial Services in Albany.

Victoria, affectionately known as Vicky, had a deep love for traveling with her family. She found great joy in flowers, particularly tending to the garden just outside her porch. Family gatherings were especially dear to her—occasions that were always filled with laughter, shared stories, and lively games. Her puppy, Molly, brought her immense comfort and happiness, often spending afternoons curled up on her lap while she listened to music. Vicky embraced life with enthusiasm and a positive spirit, and she was always ready for something fun—especially a trip to the casino.

Victoria is survived by her husband, William Taylor; her daughters, Nicole Martinez (Andy), Casie Preece, and Carie Martinez (Pete); and her sister, Traci Companion (Steve). She is also survived by her brothers, Doug Gillson (Shannon), Kevin Gillson, and Scott Gillson (Melissa). Victoria was a proud grandmother to Zachary Ryle (Cassidy), Nicolas Martinez (Rachel), Donovin Martinez, Ahlyeea Stewart, Janae Stewart, Ava Stewart, and Ivy Martinez. She is also survived by many cherished nieces and nephews: Laura and Kristen Companion; Julia and Sean Gillson; Jesse Gillson; Rachelle Colloton (Mark); Melisa Wilson (Ryan); and Cortnee Whipple (Dave).

A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 30, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at Compassionate Funeral Care, located at 402 Maple Avenue, Saratoga Springs, New York, with Rev. Adam Wiegand officiating. Calling hours will take place from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Following the service, family and friends are invited to gather for fellowship and refreshments at the Saratoga Wilton Elks Lodge.
