Toni M. (Matrazzo) Dybowski

Toni M. Dybowski, age 83, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at her home in Ballston Spa, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on October 21, 1940, in Saratoga Springs, NY, Toni was the beloved daughter of the late Anthony J. Matrazzo and Dorothy (Richmond) Matrazzo.  Toni proudly graduated from Saratoga Springs High School in 1958.

Toni had a lifelong career starting with the New York Telephone Company when she was only a teenager. After 37 years of service, she retired from AT&T in 1994.

Toni really enjoyed tap dancing, participating in many local recitals well into her late 60's. She also enjoyed line dancing and skiing in Colorado with her lifelong sweetheart Bertram L Powell. They were avid campers and members of the Good Sam's Club spending time locally and in Florida during the winter months. Toni loved being a grandmother more than anything, she absolutely adored her grandchildren and great grandson. In her spare time, she enjoyed golfing, going to Proctors Theater to see shows, spending time with her family or her many friends either going out to dinner or movies or just being together and having many laughs. Toni was also a member of the Principessa Elena Society in Saratoga Springs and the Ballston Spa and Saratoga Seniors.

Toni is survived by her son, Brian J. Dybowski; daughter, Barbara A. Dybowski; grandchildren, Danielle N. Dybowski; Kaitlyn D. Dybowski; great grandson, Maddox A. Buchner, numerous nieces and nephews, her beloved cat Rosie and her grand dogs Eva and Kaiser.  She also leaves behind many friends who will deeply miss her kind and gentle spirit.

Toni was preceded in death by her lifelong companion, Bertram (Bert) L. Powell; brother John Matrazzo; sister Patricia G. (Matrazzo) Carnevale; and beloved grandson Erik A. Dybowski.

Calling hours will be observed from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave. (Rte 9 and/or Marion Ave) Saratoga Springs, New York. Calling hours will be immediately followed by a service at the funeral home and then a reception (location to follow and will also be announced at the service) All are welcome to join us at the reception to celebrate Toni. A private burial will be held at a later date.
