Timothy Engwer, 60, entered eternal rest on Monday, September 30, 2024, at Glens Falls Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on December 14, 1963, in Glens Falls, NY, Tim was the beloved son of the late Harold Engwer and Patricia Ellen TeBordo Engwer. He graduated from the Glens Falls School District and pursued further education at Boston Conservatory, where he earned his Master's degree in Classical Guitar.
For many years, Tim worked as a caregiver for Opportunities North in the Queensbury area, dedicating his life to the service of others. His caring nature was a reflection of the deep faith and grace that defined his life. A true servant of the Lord, Tim was known for spreading love, compassion, and kindness to everyone he encountered. His devotion to Christ was unwavering and was evident in everything he did, as he found great joy in sharing God’s word.
Tim was an active and devoted member of Bay Road Church, where he served as an Elder and as a musician on the worship team. His musical talents helped uplift others in worship, and he had a passion for studying and teaching the Bible. Over the years, he participated in and led several Bible study groups, inspiring others on their spiritual journeys. His commitment to sharing the gospel touched many lives and will be remembered by all who knew him.
Tim is survived by his sisters, Nicole Helm, Dawn Bannin, and Julie “Jewel” Hayes (Roger); his uncle, Nicholas TeBordo (Bert); his niece, Erica Acquasanta (Vinnie); his nephew, Jonathan Paradise (fiancée Shaylene Stewart); great-nieces, Alexia and Gabriella; great-nephew, Andreas; great-great-niece Ailiyah and his employer and best friend of 29 years Jessyca Darrah and family and his clients. He also leaves behind many cousins and friends who will miss his humble and kind spirit. Tim’s legacy of faith, love, and kindness will continue to inspire those he leaves behind.
He was predeceased by his loving mother, Patricia Ellen Engwer, and his aunts and uncles, Kathleen and Spike Adams, George and Alice TeBordo, and Ernie TeBordo.
Honoring Tim's wishes, a joint celebration of life for both Tim and his mother, Patricia, will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Bay Road Church, 1167 Bay Rd, Lake George, NY 12845. A service will follow at 12:00 p.m.
