Thomas James “TJ” Villafana, age 41, passed away suddenly on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Saratoga Hospital, Saratoga New York.
TJ, as he was known by his family and friends, was a loving father, dedicated son and brother who had a wonderful smile, a kind heart, while hiding behind a tough exterior.
TJ was born in Paterson, NJ, but he also lived in Texas but considered the Saratoga area to be his home. Thomas was a graduate of Saratoga High School, and later the Universal Technical Institute of Arizona for auto mechanics.
TJ loved for cars and everything with a motor and without, he was great with his hands and believed he could fix anything. Growing up, TJ loved being with family and was known for picking on his ‘little’ cousins even if they were older then him because he had them in size. A fighting spirit with a heart gold who loved watching his daughter grow, achieve and blossom.
Thomas will be remembered for his kind heart, wonderful smile, willingness to help people and being a loving father. Thomas’ legacy leaves a to mourn; Mother and Father Carmen and Michael Kearney, wife Elaine Villafana, daughter Kiana Villafana, son, Marquel Mosher, Grandson, Jaelyn Mosher, son Dominic Villafana, who predeceased him, Sisters Theresa Holditch (William Holditch) Victoria Kearney and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 12 noon, Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave, Saratoga Springs, New York, with Father James Ebert officiating. Friends and family may call form 10 am to 12 noon, at the funeral home prior to the service.
Due to the ongoing public health concerns of COVID-19 social distancing as well as mandatory wearing of a face mask is required.
