Thomas A. Dingmon aged 78, unexpectedly passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2023. He was born in Saratoga Springs, NY, on April 1, 1945, to the late George Dingmon Sr. and Dorothy Saxton Dingmon
Thomas dedicated over 30 years of his life as a Meat Manager at Price Chopper in Wilton. Additionally, he honorably served his country in the Army National Guard for a four-year period.
Thomas took great pleasure in teasing and joking with his family and friends. He possessed a deep-seated passion for assisting others and was an avid outdoors enthusiast who held a special place in his heart for fishing, hunting, and watching football. He took delight in playing cards and treasured the precious moments he shared with his grandchildren.
Thomas is survived by his devoted wife Betty Jane Dingmon of 56 years; sons, Scott Dingmon (Jill Phillips), Matthew Dingmon(Patricia); daughter, Amie Dingmon (Freddy Butler); grandchildren, Kayleigh Furchak (Timothy), Heath Dingmon, Colin Dingmon, Gavin Dingmon, Maiti Marie Dingmon. He is also survived by his brothers, Ronald Dingmon, George Dingmon Jr. (Debbie), Brian Dingmon (Jill); sisters, Kathryn Steigerwald, Patricia Harris, Terri Coseo (Peter), Sandra St. John (John), brother-in-law Sherman Bliss (Karen), sisters-in-law Sandra Harrington and Althea Simmons; along with many nieces, nephews and numerous friends who will deeply miss him.
A funeral service in his honor will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at Compassionate Funeral Care, located at 402 Maple Ave. (Rte 9 and/or Marion Ave.), Saratoga Springs, NY. Family and friends are welcome to pay their respects from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
A graveside service will follow at Middle Grove Cemetery, 400 Middle Grove Rd, Greenfield Center, NY 12833.
