Theresa L. Morris

Theresa L. Morris, aged 85, peacefully passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2023, with her loving family by her side. She was born in Newark, NJ, on March 28, 1938, to the late Richard Morris and Mary Connell Morris.

Theresa dedicated many years of her life to Hudson Pulp & Paper before embarking on a 27-year career with the NYS Department of Social Services, where she eventually retired.

Known affectionately as Terri, Nana, and Aunt Ma, Theresa cherished cooking, crafting, sewing, gardening, and, above all, spending precious moments with her family.

She is survived by her sister, Patricia (Joseph) Sequin, her beloved son and best friend, William "Jimmy" Toleman, her daughter, Sherry Fisher, seven cherished grandchildren: Alexis Toleman, Samantha Toleman, Nicole Casertino, Georgie Stevens, Stephanie Stevens, Robert Fisher, and Christopher Fisher, as well as seven great-grandchildren. Theresa also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom she held dear.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Mary (Connell) Morris, five brothers: Richard Morris, William Morris, James Morris, Daniel Morris, and Thomas Morris, her sister, Kathleen McDonough, and her daughter Patricia Stevens.

Terri's family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the dedicated staff at Saratoga Hospital ICU for their exceptional care and unwavering compassion.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at St. Peter’s Cemetery, located at 150 West Ave, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
