Theresa L. Bitner

PORTER CORNERS - Theresa L. Bitner, formerly of Lock Haven, passed away on Saturday July 27th with her family by her side after a brief but courageous battle with cancer.  

She was born on June 11, 1963 in Albuquerque, NM to the late Philip Watt and Janice Cross Watt. The family resided in Lock Haven following her father’s retirement from the US Army.

Theresa was a strong, independent person whose warmth and generosity was evident to everyone who knew her. She thrived when she was helping and caring for others. Even as her health was failing, she concerned herself with the welfare of her family and caregivers over herself. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who was devoted to caring for her grandchildren, son, daughter-in-law and husband. She cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren, Kaiden and Kyla.  

Theresa is survived by her husband, Edward Bitner; son, Justin Bitner (Toni); brothers Carl Watt (Sondra) and Dayva Cross; brother-in-law, Christopher Bitner (Steph); sister-in-law, Cynthia Heaton (Mooch); grandchildren, Kaiden and Kyla; in-laws, Edward and Evelyn Bitner and many friends who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her brother John Watt.

A private memorial dinner will be held for family and friends on August 31st at Haywood’s on the Green in Mill Hall, PA.
