Sylvia BMK Wilson, age 73, passed away on Sunday, February 7th, 2021 at Saratoga Hospital after her 2 year hard fought battle with cancer. Sylvia's hugs and smiles will be missed by many.
She was born on May 9th, 1947 in Saratoga Springs, New York, daughter of Marcelle King and the late Lehman CD King.
Sylvia graduated from Saratoga Springs High School in 1965. Then went on to work in finance for most of her life. Starting with Adirondack Trust Co., opening the Malta branch. Ending at Saratoga Teachers Credit Union, with various stops in between. She lived in Chicago for a while, traveled to Hawaii twice, (once for her niece's wedding) and raced cars at Lebanon Valley Speedway. She loved fast cars and motorcycles, especially at Americade.
Sylvia loved to dance and party, she was the life of a party and enjoyed everything she did. She really enjoyed hanging out with her BFF Donna Richardson and Cousin Debbie Millis when they would take road trips to Plattsburgh and their little parties before COVID-19. She also enjoyed retirement and spending time with her mom and sister going to various dollar stores in the area. She loved life and nature; she also took lots of photos.
Sylvia is survived by her mother Marcelle King, her sister Marcy King, niece Michelle (Steve) Garner, and nephew Dennis Jeffords.
At the family's request there will be no service at this time.
Sylvia's family would like to thank the nurses and staff on D3 of Saratoga Hospital for their care for Sylvia. Also thank you to Dr. Mongan and his staff for your care throughout her battle with cancer.
In lieu of flowers Sylvia would like, if you wish, for you to make a donation to any Animal Shelter of your choice: as Sylvia loved all animals.
