Sylvester J. Comfort

Sylvester J. Comfort, age 91, passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at Saratoga Hospital.   
He was born on January 10, 1931, in Saratoga Springs, NY, the son of the late Thomas and Margaret (Rituno) Comfort. He was one of twelve children.
Sylvester graduated from Saratoga High School.
He worked as a shoe salesman for Endicott Johnson in Ossining, NY. He also worked as a grounds keeper at Saratoga Race Course.
He enjoyed watching his large screen TV and falling asleep in his favorite arm chair.
Sylvester is survived by his Sister Concetta (Gert) Morison age 99 and Brother Richard Comfort, age 87.
He is preceded in death by his Father, Thomas Comfort, Mother Margaret (Rituno) Comfort, Four  Brothers, Carl, Anthony, Roger, and Thomas Comfort,
Five Sisters, Antoinette Belanger, Rose Keehan, Theresa Woodcock, Cecelia Ricciardone, and Angiolina Smith.
Friends and family may call from 4:00-6:00pm on Sunday, June 19, 2022,
at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave (Route 9 and/or Marion Ave.), Saratoga Springs, New York.
A funeral service will be held at 10 am on Monday, June 20, 2022, at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave (Route 9 and/or Marion Ave.), Saratoga Springs, New York with Father Martin Fisher officiating.
A graveside service will be held at 11am at St. Peters Cemetery, 150 West Ave, Saratoga Springs, NY following the service at the funeral home.
