Susan Spencer

On Tuesday, August 8th, 2023, Susan Kent Spencer, loving wife, mother of two daughters and grandmother of five grandchildren, peacefully passed away at the age of 79. Susan was born on March 25, 1944 in Binghamton, NY to Duane and Jane Kent.  On September 5th, 1964, she married David Leo Spencer. They raised two daughters, Caroline (Carrie) Mason and Candice (Candee) Bergmann. 

In addition to being a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother, Susan worked in various teaching capacities that allowed her time with her girls and their activities while growing up. Susan loved to read the newspaper, Christian books and wrote in her journal on a daily basis.  She had an immense love for the Lord and was active in local bible studies, Sunday School, and other church activities for years. Besides attending church on a weekly basis, Susan could often be found riding the Mini-Ha-Ha in Lake George, one of her favorite places.

Susan joins her husband, David, her father, Duane, her mother, Jane and her brother, Robert in Heaven. 

She is survived by her two children, Caroline and Candice, her two sons-in-law Chuck Mason and Scott Bergmann, her sister and brother-in-law Bet and Fred Jayne, her sister-in-law Mary Kent, numerous nieces and nephews, and her five grandchildren, Joshua, Adam, Mia, Madison and Jeremiah.

A Celebration of Life event to celebrate both David and Susan Spencer is being planned for Saturday, May 4th, 2024.
