Susan Gail Clute

Gail Clute, age 65, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 23, 2021 at Albany Medical Center.

She was born to Walter and Carrie White on July 26, 1955 in Va. Beach, Virginia.

On June 22, 1991, she married the love of her life, Thomas Clute, Sr.  Together, they built a life they loved.  Tom loved her like no other and was an incredible husband to her.

In 2018, Gail retired from Saratoga County Social Services, where she was a Supervisor.

Gail was the Queen of crafts. There wasn’t much she couldn’t make. She loved quilting and was part of a weekly quilting group with some really great ladies, whom she loved. She always looked forward to her annual cruise with her sister and best friends. She would come home with hundreds of pictures and always had the best time. Gail had more than her share of difficulties throughout her life and never once gave up or even thought of it. Her resilience and strength was enviable.

One of her favorite things was spending time with her grandchildren. She was exceptionally proud of them all. They were quite literally her pride and joy. She was the best mom, nanny and wife anyone could ask for.

She was predeceased by both her mother and father and her Mother in law, Elizabeth Clute.

 Gail is survived by her soulmate, Thomas G Clute Sr. of Greenfield Ctr, her sister, Cynthia White of Va. Beach, daughter, Delora Wooding (Mike) of Hudson Falls, Sons, David Wooding (Shelly) of Queensbury, Thomas G Clute, Jr (Samantha) of S. Glens Falls, grandchildren, Nicole, Jacob and Chase Wojtowecz, Brennan Wooding and Emilee, Christopher and Victoria Clute, nephews John and Kelly Wray, Sisters in law Sue, Deb and Maureen and Best Friends Terrie and Ed Pingelski and her kitty, Ebony.

We would like to thank all the nurses and Drs at Saratoga Hospital and The Neurology Team and nurses at Albany Medical Ctr as well as Dr Eugene Merecki.

There will be no services at this time.
