Steven Weits

Steven Weits, age 36 passed away peacefully, at Albany Medical Center on November 10th, 2019 with his family at his bedside.

He was born February 22,1983 in West Chester PA, to Robert Weits and Geraldine Schmiedel.

Steven lived in Chester County Pennsylvania most of his childhood. As an adult he moved to Bloomsburg Pennsylvania with a friend and remained there for 10 years working in the restaurant business.  He made many longtime friends there. Steven loved the water, he especially loved Florida and Lake George New York, and would visit family homes there yearly. His dream of moving to Lake George eventually came true in October of last year. Steven loved the peace and calmness of the Lake.

Steve is survived by his father and Stepmother, Robert and Leah Weits, mother Geraldine Weits; Grandmother Audrey Weits, Stepsister Devin Souder, Uncle John Roche Aunt Diane Roche; Uncle, Ron Weits; Aunt Karen Miller, First cousins J.P. Roche and wife Sylvia Roche. Laurel Miller, Tyler Miller, and Mikayla Miller, 2nd cousins Mia and Max Roche.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Karel Weits. 

A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Friday, November 15, 2019 at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave. (Rte 9 and/or Marion Ave.), Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.  Family and friends may call from 12 noon to 1:45 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
