Stella M. (Williams) Boyd

May 18, 1935 ~ April 29, 2022 (age 86)


Stella M. (Williams) Boyd, longtime resident of Saratoga Springs, died peacefully at her home, April 29, 2022.  She was 86.

Born in Charlestown, MA on May 18 1935, Stella is one of nine children of the late James and Alice (Cook) Williams. She grew up in Charlestown. MA.

She loved to garden, hunting garage sales for antiques, trips abroad and looked forward to annual trips to Foxwoods and Atlantic City with her sisters Ethel and Barbara as well as her niece Nancy.

Stella was the wife of the late Carl G. Boyd with whom she shared 65 years of marriage. She is survived by her 7 children; Carol Forte (Frank), Karen Schafer (Todd), Judith McCleskey, Janet Wetherby (Edmund), Pamela Cannito, Norman Boyd, and Eric Boyd, 10 grandchildren (Michael, David, Robert, Jessica, Jacquline, Jillian, Katlyn, Tyler, Andrew, and Nicholas) and 4 great grandchildren (Christopher, Lauren, Nora, and Allison).  She had a special place in her heart for her step great-grandson Anthony Wetherby (Mary) and great great granddaughters Kiera and Riley.  She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.  She was the sister to the late Barbara Milligan, Ethel Christopher, Dorothy Bower, Patricia Tuttle, James Williams, Jr., Richard Williams, Christopher (Sonny) Williams, and Kenny Williams.

The family wishes to thank Community Hospice for their loving care over the past months especially Tracy and Karen who helped comfort her as she transitioned on to her next journey.
