Shirley Coonradt Obituary

Shirley A. Coonradt, 88, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2026, at her home, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on November 6, 1937, in Clifton Park, New York, she was the daughter of the late Harry E. Coonradt, Sr. and Mary M. (DeWitt) Coonradt. Shirley was raised in Clifton Park and later made her home on Smith Bridge Road in Wilton, where she lovingly raised her family and created a lifetime of cherished memories.

Shirley dedicated many years of service to Wesley Health Care Center, where she worked in the kitchen as a food server. She took great pride in her work and in caring for others before retiring.

She and her husband enjoyed traveling together in their RV, making memorable trips to California and Florida. Shirley was an enthusiastic NASCAR fan and especially loved cheering on #8, Dale Earnhardt, Jr. and loved Johnny Depp. Above all, her greatest joy in life was her family. She treasured every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Susan (Loren) Jenks; her brother, Christopher (Edith) Coonradt; her grandchildren Richard Coonradt, Jr, Mary (Gary) Tator, Dr. Christopher Jenks, and her great-grandchildren, David, Esther, and Anthony Jenks.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband, William Coonradt; her son, Richard Coonradt, Sr.; her great-granddaughter, Spc. Abigail R Jenks; her sisters, Joanne, Mary, and Patricia; her brothers, John, James, Harry, Noah, Billy; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11am on Friday July 24th,2026 at Maplewood Cemetery, corner of Weibel and Louden Road, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.

Shirley will be remembered for her love of family, her adventurous spirit, and the warmth she shared with those around her.
