Scott Poirier

Scott Poirier, 65, of Porter Corners, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by loved ones on Friday, September 13, 2024. Born in Corinth, NY, on August 24, 1959, he was the son of the late Rameo and Mildred (Kanar) Poirier.

Scott worked as a machinist at Quad Graphics for many years, where he thrived in the company and formed lasting friendships. A lover of music, Scott especially enjoyed listening to Ozzy Osbourne and appreciated a cold Heineken. He was a diligent worker, often busy with projects, including chopping firewood for many memorable evenings spent with family and friends.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Ivy Poirier; his sons, Ryan Poirier (Sara) and Kyle Poirier (Melissa); his daughter, Tara Poirier (Robert Woodcock); his brothers, Kevin Poirier, Christopher Poirier, and Daniel Poirier; his sister, Samantha Beaury (Steve); brothers-in-law, Jeff Tessier and Scott Tessier (Tammy); sisters-in-law, Lynn Wanser (Paul) and Kimberly Grimm (Bob). Scott was also a proud grandfather to Dillon Poirier, Kylie Reome, Ryan Woodcock, Lilly Dahl, Kailyn Poirier, Noah Gibbins, Layne Poirier, Austin Poirier, Ashlin Poirier, Brylee Poirier, James Poirier, Isla Poirier, and Ryat Poirier. He will be deeply missed by his many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Scott was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Rowan Thomas Poirier; and sister, Leanne Schaff.
