Scott C. Bennett, 54, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 13, 2024, with his devoted wife by his side. Born on August 7, 1970, in Norwich, CT, Scott was the beloved son of Dean C. Bennett and Elizabeth Gardner Bennett.
A graduate of Saratoga High School’s Class of 1988, Scott was a natural salesman and a true jack-of-all-trades, thriving in various roles throughout his career.
Scott lived life with a remarkable zest and a joyful spirit. He cherished fishing trips with his father, evenings spent bowling, trivia nights, and time shared with friends and family. His passions included classic cars, video games, and nightly Rummy games with his wife, Kelly. A talented piano player, Scott also adored the Pittsburgh Steelers and Syracuse University football. His knowledge of 80's rock and heavy metal music was unparalleled—a true testament to his love of music, second only to his love for Kelly.
Scott is survived by his loving wife, Kelly A. Spass Bennett; his mother, Elizabeth Gardner Bennett of Versailles, KY; his sister, Robin C. Bennett, also of Versailles, KY; his cherished twin nieces, Maureen and Elena Bennett; his Aunt Jean Sutton, Uncle John Truax, and honorary Uncle Kevin Murphy of Waterford, CT. He is also remembered by numerous friends and acquaintances.
Scott was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Eric and Catherine Gardner; his paternal grandparents, Floyd and Ruth Jenkins; and his father, Dean C. Bennett.
Kelly extends heartfelt gratitude to the many individuals who supported Scott during his illness. Special thanks to Dr. Cardiel, Dr. Kaur, Dr. Jogani, Dr. Puzzulo and their teams, Dr. Liebers and his staff, Saratoga Community Hospice, Scott's nurse Tracy, social worker Joanne, and hospice chaplain Tom Ryberg.
