Sandra Lee Taylor

Sandra Lee Taylor, 82, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 22, 2025, at Albany Medical Center with her devoted husband by her side.

Born on July 14, 1943, in Schenectady, NY, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Jane (Bergens) Hatala.

Sandra began her career as a dietitian at St. Mary’s in Amsterdam, NY. After starting her family, she shifted her career path and went on to work as a merchandiser for several companies. Sandra had a zest for life and loved to travel, with special fondness for her trips to Florida and the lively atmosphere of biker bars. A longtime member of the Retired Eagles Activity Club (REAC), she formed countless friendships and treasured the many adventures she shared with her husband, Herbert. Together they enjoyed bus trips, club activities, and the fellowship of their Eagle’s community, which brought her so much joy.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Herbert T. Taylor; her cherished grandchildren, Eryn Gonzalez (Edward), Koda Taylor, Justin Taylor, and Dylan Taylor; and her adored great-grandchildren, Connor McFarlane, Kole Gonzalez, and Bradley Taylor. Sandra will also be remembered fondly by many dear friends whose lives she touched.

She was predeceased by her sons, Thomas Taylor and James Taylor.

Family and friends are invited to gather for calling hours from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave., Saratoga Springs, NY. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, NY 12871 following the service.
