Sandra Marie Johnson

Sandra Marie Johnson, age 75, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at her home in Wilton, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on September 30, 1948, in Herkimer, NY, Sandra was the beloved daughter of Dominic and Violet (Monaco) Chard.

Sandra dedicated many years of her career as an administrative assistant with the SUNY Research Foundation before retiring. She had a deep love for golf and skiing, but her greatest joy came from spending cherished moments with her granddaughter, Sasha, and playing Mahjong. Sandra was wholeheartedly devoted to her family, who remained the center of her life.

She is survived by her loving husband, Arthur Johnson; her daughter, Nicole Quaglia (Kevin); her brother, John Chard (Dawn); her sisters, Carol Cross (Peter) and Phyllis Mastrangelo (John); her sister-in-law, Anne DeVane; her adored granddaughter, Sasha Quaglia; and many dear friends who will forever miss her gracious and kind spirit.

Sandra was predeceased by her parents, Dominic and Violet Chard and sister-in-law, Mary Ebel.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 16, 2024 at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave. (Rte 9 and/or Marion Ave.), Saratoga Springs, NY.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at St. Clements Church, 231 Lake Ave, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.

A private graveside service will be conducted at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, NY 12871 at a later date.
