Ruth S. Theilemann

Ruth S. Theilemann 68, of Saratoga Springs died at Saratoga Hospital on June 18th, after living courageously with cancer in her final years.

Born August 24, 1952, she was the daughter of Martha (Clark) Morris and the late Charles Morris.  Ruth was raised in Galway, NY. She followed her dream of becoming a music teacher, graduating from the Fredonia School of Music in 1974 with a BS in Music Education.

She was a dedicated elementary music teacher in the Ballston Spa Central School District for 35 years, beloved by her students. Her chorus concerts were large and legendary because she believed in all her student's abilities to make music together.

After retiring she enjoyed her home on Pine Street in Corinth for several years. She loved cats and a good number of them found their way into her life.

Above all she was a dear mother to Megan (Edward) Lavoie of Skippack, PA, a dear aunt to Timothy Turcich of Orlando, Fl, and Daniel Turcich of Saratoga Springs, a dear sister to Mary Turcich of Saratoga Springs, and a dear daughter to Martha Morris of Saratoga Springs.

The family wishes to thank Dr. John Delmonte, the oncology staff on Care Lane, the staff at Saratoga Hospital, and certainly her dear friends who faithfully accompanied her all the way.

A funeral service will be held at 3:30 pm on Friday, June 25, 2021 at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave, Saratoga Springs, New York with Father Marty Fisher officiating.  Family and friends may call from 1 pm to 3 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

A graveside service will follow at Galway Cemetery, Galway, NY.
