Roy Daniel "Dan" Coleman

SARATOGA SPRINGS - Roy Daniel (Dan) Coleman passed away on August 20, 2018 in Portland, OR after a brief but courageous battle with cancer.

He was the son of Sharon and the late Roy Coleman. Dan was born in Portsmouth, VA on July 24, 1965. 

Dan is a graduate of Saratoga Springs high school, class of 1 983. He proudly served his country for seven years in the US Navy.  

He was an avid golfer and planned a yearly golf tournament with his cousins. He loved the outdoors and camping along the Oregon Coast.  He was a music lover and enjoyed all manner of live music, especially the Grateful Dead. 

Dan was pre-deceased by his father Roy Coleman, his son Jaime Coleman, and his grandmother Esther Thompson. 

He is survived by his wife Marci Coleman, of Beaverton OR, his son Adam (Kodie) Coleman, and grandson Jaime of Myrtle Beach, SC, his son Dylan Coleman and grandson Phoenix of Portland, OR, his mother Sharon Coleman of saratoga springs , NY, his brother Michael (Jessica) Coleman and his children Lucie and Eli of Boston, MA and his sister Nikki MacMillan and her children Karleigh and Caleb of Saratoga Springs, NY.  Dan is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. 

A memorial service will be held at 4 pm on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave. (Rte 9 and/or Marion Ave.), Saratoga Springs, NY.  Family and friend may call from 3 pm to 3:45 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Roy can be made to the US Disabled American Veterans.
