Rose E. Vetter

Rose E. Vetter age 78, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2022, at St. Mary’s Hospital Amsterdam, NY.

She was born on March 13, 1944, in Bay Shore Long Island, NY the daughter of the late Herman and Elizabeth (Sobanski) Hoffman.

Rose was a loving and devoted housewife, mother, and grandmother.  She was truly one-of-a-kind; she was always beautiful with a gracious smile.  She enjoyed showing her artistic talents with her drawings and her love through cooking.  Rose was a woman of faith. She attended St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Saratoga Springs faithfully.  She loved her Lord dearly and the church.  There was no place that she felt more in touch with who she was than in church.

She is survived by her daughters, Anne Mott and Christine Mahoney; son-in-law Dennis Mahoney; stepson, Robert Vetter; grandchildren, Dennis, Andrew, Brendon, Rachael, and Chelsea; nephews, nieces and friends.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 42 years, William Vetter and her sister Dorothy Graf.

A funeral service will be held at 8:00 am on Friday, July 8, 2022 at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave. (Rte 9 and/or Marion Ave.), Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.  Family and friends may call from 7:00 am to 8:00 am prior to the service at the funeral home.

A graveside service will be held at 9:00 am at the Gerald B. H, Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd, Schuylerville, NY 12871 following the service at the funeral home.
