Ronald “Terry” Dobbins, age 82, peacefully graduated to Heaven on Monday, May 10, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family in the comfort of his home.
Born on March 12, 1944, in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, Terry was the son of the late Harry James Dobbins and Beatrice Musick. He carried throughout his life the values of hard work, devotion to family, quiet strength, and most of all unwavering faith. After moving to Georgia where he graduated Highschool , he went into the Untied States Air Force.
Terry retired from many years at Rexnord in Atlanta, where he was known for his strong work ethic, dedication, and dependability. He took great pride in providing for his family and building a life centered on love, loyalty, and faith.
Above all else, Terry cherished his family. He was a devoted husband, father, papa, and great-papa whose greatest joy came from the time spent surrounded by those he loved most. Whether sharing stories, offering guidance, sharing the life saving gospel, praying with those in need or simply enjoying the company of his children and grandchildren, Terry brought comfort, wisdom, and stability and hope to those around him. His love for his family was steadfast, and the memories he created with them will be treasured forever. Terry used every opportunity, even his cancer journey to glorify God’s name.
In the days leading up to his passing, Terry continued to point everyone he met toward Jesus — even when he could no longer speak, using only his hands to gesture upward. He encouraged fellow believers to “finish the race,” reflecting the deep faith that carried him throughout his life. Terry was known as a fierce prayer warrior for his family and any one God placed on his heart to share the gospel and help lead to the Lord. It is Terry’s deepest desire that all may accept Jesus as he did, as his Lord and Savior so that we may ALL reunite again in Heaven one day.
Terry spent 44 cherished years with his wife Easter Dobbins who predeceased him. Terry was blessed enough to find love twice and spent the last 14 years and was survived by his beloved wife, Norma Jean Dobbins; his children, Donna Corey(Jeremy), Rob Hillstrom (Sherry), Ronnie Dobbins; his stepchildren, Laurie Lanphear (Damion), Tim Woodcock (Kristy), Isaiah Woodcock (Meghan), and Micah Woodcock (Samantha); his cherished grandchildren, Kaitlin Cochran (Gabe )Brett Webster, Tyler Corey, Kayla Corey, Hannah Corey, Lilly Lanphear, Delaney Lanphear, Faith Woodcock, Elijah Woodcock, Ellie Woodcock, Braedon Woodcock, Kennedy Woodcock, Elliott Woodcock, Levi Woodcock, Mason Backus, Maebree Backus, and Alexandra Woodcock; and his great-grandchildren, Mariah Taylor and Hayden Bovat, along with many extended family members and dear friends who will miss him deeply.
In addition to his parents, Terry was predeceased by his first wife, Easter Mae Gainey; his siblings, Sydney, Bobby, Doug, and Carolyn; and his beloved grandson, Eric Cochran.

For those who knew Terry best, one phrase captured his heart and faith:
“I’d rather live in a tent at my Father’s feet than walk the streets of gold.”
