Robert "Bob" Lee Patton

Robert “Bob” Lee Patton was born on November 23, 1948 in Meadville, PA and passed away August, 16, 2023 in Saratoga Springs, NY after suffering a severe heart attack. He was 74. He grew up as an only child with a single mother who worked hard to support them both. Bob met Carol Ann when they were kids and they were married on March 8, 1968.

Bob joined the United States Army and served for 3 years during the Vietnam war.

For most of his life, Bob worked hard to support his family. He supported his wife through nursing school and through ovarian cancer, and taking care of the kids.

Bob loved to travel with his wife, Carol Ann, and was an avid photographer throughout his travels. On their honeymoon, they visited Hawaii and over the years traveled to many places across the country. Their most favorite place of all was the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. Photography was Bob’s favorite hobby along with reading. He enjoyed taking pictures of landscapes, bugs, flowers, and animals and set up websites for products featuring some of his photos. His most significant accomplishment with his photography was having his photos selected and purchased for display at the City Hall in St. Cloud, Florida. They are still there today and provide a calming background to the busyness of the offices.

Most of all, Bob enjoyed spending time with his family, just hanging out, having a good meal, taking a hike, following Pittsburgh Steelers football, or visiting a place of interest. He may have grown up as an only child without a father, but he still knew how to be faithful to Jesus Christ, his family and friends, and show love and kindness to others in his own special way. Just as Jesus said to do, he did his best to love God and love others.

Bob Patton is survived by his wife of 55 years, Carol Ann Patton, a daughter, Theresa Lynn Hunter, son-in-law, Gary Hunter, a son Robert Matthew Patton, daughter-in-law, Shelly Patton and his grandson, Benjamin Matthew Patton.
