Robert Glasser of Greenfield Center, NY died on Saturday October 7, 2023, at the age of 73, following several years of illness. Bob was a graduate of Mount Vernon High School and Binghamton University, where he met his wife of 52 years Florence (Stay).
He is survived by his wife Flo; daughters Sarah, Amy, and Jennifer; and his sister Judith.
Bob was best known for his mischievous sense of humor. From playing pranks in his younger years to telling one-liners to his family, he expressed his love through laughter.
His most precious memories were traveling with his family; from camping trips in Maine to overseas adventures, Bob loved reminiscing about the places he had travelled to and the food he enjoyed. Bob loved all animals, great and small, and his hobbies included tinkering with house projects and morning trips to play Pick 3 in the NYS Lottery.
Bob and Flo moved to the Capital Region in the 1970s where he began working for Bellevue Builders Supply in Schenectady, NY. Bob was active in the Capital Region Builders Association until his retirement from Curtis Lumber in Ballston Spa, NY earlier this year.
He was predeceased by his parents Abraham and Betty Glasser of Mount Vernon, NY.
A private ceremony will be held to celebrate his life.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York, and to play Bob's lucky numbers 2-3-6.
