Richard A. Monroe

Richard A. Monroe, aged 51, passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at Saratoga Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 28, 1971, in Schenectady, NY, the son of the late Albert Monroe and Beatrice Standish Monroe.

Richard found joy in various activities throughout his life. He had a passion for fishing, especially when he could share the experience with his sons. Additionally, he had a deep love for horror movies, enjoyed creating funny videos, and indulged in playing video games. However, his most cherished moments were those spent with his family and cooking his favorite dishes.

Richard is survived by his sons, Cobra Monroe, Romero Monroe, Hawk Monroe, and daughter, Shelby Monroe. He is also survived by his brother, Albert Monroe, and sister, Kimberly Stearns. Richard will be remembered fondly by his nieces and nephews, Melinda Monroe, Jasmine Dzieniszewski, Seth Monroe, Jesse Monroe, and great-nieces and nephews, Maci, Jerimyah Monroe, Tatiana Monroe, Malyah Monroe, Avalynn Vangundy. He had a special place in his heart for Rocky Madison, whom he considered as his son, along with Rocky's children, Carter and Raelynn Madison. Richard leaves behind the anticipation of an unborn grandson, Kobra Monroe, Jr., whom he will not have the opportunity to meet.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday, October 30, 2023, at Compassionate Funeral Care, located at 402 Maple Ave. (Rte 9 and/or Marion Ave.), Saratoga Springs, New York.
