Richard Hoague

Richard Hoague, 77, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 25, 2025, at St. Peter’s Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on April 9, 1948, in Syracuse, NY, he was the son of Patricia Sullivan and Carl Hoague.

Richard was a talented radio DJ and photographer, owning and operating Rich. Hogan Studios in Los Angeles, CA, for many years. His passion for photography and his love for music and engineering were well known among those closest to him. With a voice that captivated listeners, for over 30 years, Richard made a lasting impact in the radio industry. Locally on WGY and WPTR, and several other  Radio Stations throughout the country, Rich was fondly recognized by his aliases, Guy Hill and Rich Hogan.

He is survived by his brother, Michael Hoague, Esq.; his sister, Julie Stevens (Gary); his niece, Patricia Stevens; and many dear friends who will miss him greatly.

Richard was predeceased by his mother, Patricia Sullivan

A Christian graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at St. Mary’s Cemetery, 225 Main Street, South Glens Falls, NY 12803.
