Paul Brummagyn Obituary

Paul F Brummagyn, age 66, of Hartford was called home to be with the Lord on April 22, 2025 at Glens Falls Hospital after a brief illness.

Born on September 16,1958 in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late William and Beatrice (Baker) Brummagyn.

Paul graduated from Saint Mary’s Academy class of 1977.

Paul was a dedicated employee of C.R. Bard where he worked for forty years as a Manufacturing Supervisor.

Paul fulfilled a lifelong dream when he owned The Hartford Tavern for seven years, where he could socialize with new and old friends. Paul was known to show his love through his cooking, which he passionately shared with all he knew. He was best known for his hot dogs, specifically his meat sauce which he perfected over the years. One of his greatest joys was cooking for his family, having his children gathered in the kitchen to share a meal.

Paul enjoyed being outside at his country home, listening to the birds, watching the trees bud, or just watching the grass grow. Paul had a passion for woodworking, making many pieces of furniture for his family’s home. He passed along his passion to his son, Bo, who he enjoyed attempted collaboration.

Paul was married to his beloved wife Cecilia Strainer on August 10th, 1985, to whom he would have celebrated their 40th anniversary this year. They raised three children together, whom he loved and adored beyond measure.

Paul is also survived by his three children Bo Brummagyn (Kelsey Campbell) of Hartford, NY, Tanya Brummagyn and fiancé Scott Howard of Hartford, and Nick Brummagyn (Lara McComsey) of Hartford, NY; his brother-in-law and sister in-law , Stanley and Kelly Strainer, and their  two sons Samual and Carson of Hartford NY; his sister-in-law Mary Strainer and her three children Taryn, Jake, and Jade of Englewood Florida.  He is also survived by his precious granddaughter Alivia Brummagyn of Salem, with whom he had a very special relationship and shared an enormous, sweet tooth.

He is preceded in death by his brother William Brummagyn of South Glens Falls.

To respect Paul’s final wishes there will be no services, that his family will mourn privately. As Paul touched many lives over the years, the family would enjoy hearing any cherished memories, which they ask you share on the website.
