Patricia Anne Cornute (Ashton) 55, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2025 in Albany New York.
Pattie was born on June 5, 1969, in Oakland, California to Richard and Carole Ashton. She graduated from Endicott College with a degree in Fashion.
Pattie is survived by her loving husband of 24 years (together 32 years) Robert S. Cornute, her daughter Noelle Cornute her sisters Shirley Ashton and Zorada LaRochelle, her father Richard Ashton and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother Carole Pushard and her father and mother in-law Robert L. Cornute and Carmen M. Cornute.
Pattie was known for her beautiful smile, generous heart, and the love of her art and fitness. She was known for her commitment to Lipedema Fitness which she created in 2013, her blog and Facebook support group to help spread awareness and facilitate support to help others keep living with Lipedema. She founded Lipedema Triathlon, which would have marked its 10th anniversary in June. She actively participated in numerous Zoom calls and roundtable discussions, advocating for Lipedema awareness and support.
Pattie loved alcohol ink painting, pottery, and crafted glass beads for use in her custom-made jewelry. She was a reiki practitioner, and a certified fascia technician. She trained for 11 years in CrossFit and 5 years with Peloton.
A memorial service will take place on March 25, 2025, at Compassionate Funeral Care, located at 402 Maple Ave. (Rt 9), Saratoga Springs. Calling hours will be from 3:00 – 5:00 PM, followed by a service at 5:00 PM. A repast will be held afterward at 6:30 PM at Phylise Banner’s home, 378 Colebrook Rd., Gansevoort, NY 12831.
