Norbert Michaud

Norbert Michaud, age 93, passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at Glens Falls Hospital.

He was born March 4, 1928, in Waterbury, VT, son of the late Robert and Priscilla (Martell) Michaud.

Norbert graduated from High school and joined the US Airforce in which he proudly served his country as a Tech Sergeant and Military Police until he retired with over 20 years of service. 

Norbert enjoyed western movies and he was an avid hunter, even through his later years in his 80's.  

Norbert is survived by his children, Gregory (Eileen) Michaud, Robert (Edith) Michaud, Cathy (Michael) Michaud, Raymond (Betsy) Michaud; daughter-in-law Maryjo Michaud; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Genevieve Michaud; son, Gary Michaud; daughter, Beverly Michaud; grandson, John Lant and granddaughter, Selina Jones.

A funeral service will be held at 12:30 pm on Friday, January 21, 2022 at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave. (Rte 9 and/or Marion Ave.), Saratoga Springs, NY with Father Martin Fisher officiating.  Family and friends may call from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. 

A graveside service will be held at 1:30 pm at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd, Schuylerville, NY 12871 following the service at the funeral home.

Due to the ongoing public health concerns of COVID-19 social distancing as well as wearing of a face mask is recommended.
