Nicholas Closson

Nicholas Closson, age 62, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at Saratoga Hospital with his family at his side.

He was born on April 3, 1958 in Saratoga Springs, the son of the late Richard Closson and Gloria Plue Closson.

Nicholas was a graduate of Saratoga High School, class of 1976. 

Nicholas was a Chef for Pack Horse in Malta for many years.  He enjoyed watching old movies and collecting DVD’s.  He was also a member of AA. 

Nicholas is survived by his sisters, Dawn Bandler, Nancy (Andrew) Hickok; several nieces and nephews, Jennifer (John Speanburg) Brisbin, Jeffrey (Jenna Talbott) Brisbin, Paul (Alicia) Brisbin, Allyson (Stu Marsh) Brisbin, James (Anne) Lant, Jodi Lant Truett, Tammy (Michael) Mulligan, John (April Hayes) Closson, Dennis (Jessica) Closson, Adam Closson; great nieces and nephews, Jesse Lant, Kara (Alcides) Ayala, Laurin Thorud, Eleanor Brisbin, Kiersten Cramer, Samantha Mulligan, Emma Closson, Lauren Closson, Liliana Closson, Hannah Closson, Jaden Closson, Devin Closson, A.J. Closson; great-great niece Adalynn Ayala; great-great nephew, Alcides Ayala III and many friends who will miss him dearly.

Nicholas is preceded in death by his brothers, John and James Closson. 

The family wishes to thank the Dr., Nurses, and Aides in Saratoga Hospital ICU for their compassionate care of Nick in his final days.

A funeral service will be held at 6 pm on Thursday, August 20, 2020 at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave., (Rte 9 and/or Marion Ave.), Saratoga Springs, NY.  Family and friends may call from 4 pm to 6 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

A private interment will be at Greenridge Cemetery, 17 Green Ridge Pl, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866
