Neal Tyler, 68, of Saratoga Springs passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at his home in Queensbury, NY. Born in Saratoga Springs, NY on August 4, 1957, he was the son of the late Augustus Tyler and Beverly (Hawkins) Murtlow.
Neal took pride in serving his country in the Army. He enjoyed being a father to his three daughters the most, as well as a grandfather. He was always the life of a party. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, and gardening. He loved having a boat for several summers on Saratoga Lake and camping. He enjoyed cooking, as he learned many recipes from his mother. He enjoyed his early morning cup of coffee and watching the sun rise. He was notorious for pranks and loved children, so much so that many of his daughters' friends also called dad. He worked for many years doing construction and took pride in his work around the Saratoga area.
Survivors include his daughters; Ginger Record (Matthew), Brandy Roy (Kyle Brooks), and Kaitlin Voigt. His grandsons, Christian VanGuilder and Braylyn Record. His sister Amy Pechette, brother Mark Tyler, and brother-in-law Bill Lloyd. He is also survived by the love of his life, Kimberly Voigt, and his lifelong friend Melissa Leombruno, as well as many nieces and nephews. He also had many friends who became like family.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his stepfather James Murtlow, stepmother Nancie Tyler, sister Laurie Lloyd, brother Bruce Tyler, nephew Jason Tucker, and best friend Kenny Rhinehart.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave., Saratoga Springs, NY 12866. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. following the calling hours.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at 1:00 pm at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, NY following the service.
