Nancy Yager, 61, passed away peacefully on July 13th, 2024 at Saratoga Hospital. She was surrounded by those who loved her deeply.
The daughter of Carol and Wendell Rosen, she and her twin Susan were born on August 23, 1962 in Schenectady, NY. After graduating from Shenendehowa High School in 1981, Nancy pursued further education to earn her advanced degree and eventually became a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Her kind, compassionate, and empathetic nature made her a natural fit for the medical field, where she was cherished by many.
Nancy had a wide array of interests and passions. She loved spending time with her loved ones, celebrating Christmas year-round, and enjoying hearty laughs from classic sitcoms. She relished her partner Robert's home-cooked meals and was known for her spirited personality and sweet tooth for ice cream. Nancy also found joy in reading, birdwatching, and taking long walks with her beloved dog, Tucker. Her deep love for dogs was a constant throughout her life, having had them as companions for as long as she could remember.
Nancy is survived by her significant other Robert Major; her parents, Carol and Wendell Rosen; her sister Susan (John) Ryan; brothers Peter (Valerie) Scolamiero and Michael Rosen alongside many nieces, nephews, and her cherished dog, Tucker.
She is preceded in death by the dogs she loved fiercely: Storm, Thunder, and Everest.
Calling hours are scheduled for Friday, July 19th, 2024, from 4-6 p.m., with a service to follow at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave. (Rte 9 and/or Marion Ave.), Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
