Michael A. Ward

Michael A. Ward, age 69, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 15, 2025, at Wesley Health Care Center. 

He was born on May 30, 1956, in Albany, NY, the son of the late Eugene Ward and Margaret Dawson. Michael proudly served his country in the United States Navy.

Following his service, Michael worked for many years in the maintenance department at Janitronics. He was a true history enthusiast, had a passion for old westerns, and was especially fond of music, most of all, the timeless songs of The Beatles. He also enjoyed traveling, but his greatest joy came from time spent with his family and friends.

Michael is survived by his stepdaughter, Kelly Kilventon; his siblings, Arthur Ward, Nancy Ward-Snyder, Jackie Van Volkenburgh, Michelle Walter, Kitty Ward, Jill Kramer-Sprague, and Jean Marie Johnson (Tony); grandchildren, Ashley Wallace and Brittany Wallace; along with many nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will miss him deeply.

He was predeceased by his loving wife, Patricia (Hiller) Ward; brothers, Lawrence Ward, George Ward, Joseph Ward, and Charles Ward.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 3rd Ave Ext., Rensselaer, NY 12144.
