Michael Joseph Bushey, Sr.

Michael Joseph Bushey, Sr., age 69, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 3, 2025, at Albany Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.

Born on June 23, 1956, in Glens Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Edward Bushey and Margaret Samoney.

Michael dedicated many years to his work as an auto detailer at Glens Falls Toyota and was most recently employed at Walmart in Saratoga Springs, where he took great pride in all he did.  He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting, and soaking up the sun with family and friends. Michael also enjoyed playing the Lotto, but above all, he treasured time spent with his family and the joy they brought to his life.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Sandra Bushey; sons, Michael J. Bushey Jr., Shane Bushey (Tricia), Robert Sanders, David Carleton (Katie), and Jonathan Carleton; daughters, Cassandre George (Thomas) and Brittany Sanders (Malcom Murphy); brothers, Edward Bushey Jr. and Tom Bushey (Chris); grandchildren, Amanda Bushey, Deanna Bushey, Brittany Bushey, Brianna Bushey, Brian Bushey, Lizabeth Terrell, Madalynn Sanders, Lilliana Sanders, Miley Murphy, Malcari Murphy, Malcom Murphy, and Matthew Mosher; along with several great-grandchildren and many dear friends who will miss him deeply.

Michael was predeceased by his parents, his mother and father in-law George and Sandra Palmateer, son Scott Bushey, and granddaughter Maliyah.

A funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, November 10, 2025, at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave., Saratoga Springs, NY. Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
