Marjorie F. Bostwick (Mercer), 94, of Saratoga Springs, passed peacefully at her home on January 7, 2025, after battling a lengthy illness.
Marjorie was born in Westville, New York, on June 11, 1930, to the late Lee J. Bostwick and Elsie E. Wood. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Ronald Bostwick, and her sister, Virginia Dutcher.
Marjorie was a homemaker who devoted her time to raising her children and maintaining her home. Her most treasured roles were beloved mother, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. Nothing brought her more joy than being surrounded by family. Marjorie’s favorite hobbies were crocheting and sewing, and she used her talents to craft blankets for her loved ones and friends.
Marjorie is survived by her ten children, Rose (Francis) Pitts, Barbara (Frank) Turner, Linda (John) Tomaro, Sandra (Otto) Ottenburgh, George Mercer, Wanda (Steve) Wright, Albert Mercer, Thomas (Chrissy) Mercer, Nancy (John Vanzandt) Keating, and Michael (Kim) Mercer; her grandchildren; great grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave, Saratoga Springs NY 12866 on Sunday, January 12, 2025 from 2:00-4:00 pm.
Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Saratoga County Hospice in lieu of flowers.
