Marie E Smith

Marie Smith, age 93, passed away on January 3, 2022, at home surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born on September 29, 1928, in Yonkers, NY, the daughter of the late William Moos and Elsie (Stalf) Moos.  

Marie graduated high school in Yonkers, NY, class of 1946.  She met and married her loving husband Robert Smith of 27 years in Yonkers. 

She worked as a sale clerk for Macy’s Co. for 20 years. She retired from Garrison Union Free School as a Teachers aide after 10 years of service.  

Marie enjoyed crocheting, reading, flowers, birds, butterfly’s and her family.

Marie is survived by her sister, Charlotte Mclain; children, Harold Smith, Robert Smith Jr., Deborah (Joseph) Russo, Douglas (Melissa) Smith; grandchildren, Scott (Janel) Russo, Cary (Nicole) Smith, Krista (Emily) Russo, Miranda (Michael) Bohlinger; seven great-grandchildren with two on the way.  

She is preceded in death by husband, Robert Smith and brother, William Moos.

At the family’s request there will be no calling hours or service. 

A graveside service will be held in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Hastings, NY at the convenience of the family.
