Lynne M. Cassidy

Lynne M. Cassidy, age 60, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2025, at Albany Medical Center, with her loving family by her side.

Born on September 12, 1965, in Saratoga Springs, NY, Lynne was the daughter of the late Albert and Marilyn (Harrington) Ernst.

Lynne worked for many years as a waitress at Shirley’s Diner, where she formed countless friendships with coworkers and customers alike. She was a true social light—someone who loved to laugh, dance, and enjoy a good time. At home, she found comfort in her favorite soap operas and took great joy in caring for animals, especially her beloved cats. Her greatest joy in life was being a mother to her children and grandchildren.  Lynne’s motherly love was felt by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her companion, Paul Vincek; her children, Paul Vincek, Jr. (Siobhan), Colton Cassidy (Dusty Dingmon), and Alexandria Versailles (Evan Draiss); her brothers, James Ernst (Lois), Thomas Ernst (Joni), and Craig Ernst (Pat); and her cherished grandchildren, Alina Vincek, Avea Vincek, Ariella Versailles,  Lucas Bartlett, Carter Draiss, Finley Baxter, Archie Baxter, Mila Baxter, and Riley Baxter. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, as well as her lifelong best friend, Melanie Smith Eggleston.

In addition to her parents, Lynne was predeceased by her brothers, Daniel and Kevin Ernst.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, December 20th, 2025, from 12-2PM at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave., Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
