Lisa Ribis

Lisa Ribis, 58, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 4, 2025, with her devoted husband by her side.

Born on August 13, 1966, in Oceanside, NY, Lisa was the beloved daughter of Salvadore and Isabel (Fleres) Vecchione. She served for many years as the secretary to the City Council for the City of Saratoga Springs, a role she carried out with dedication and heart.

Lisa had a zest for life and a passion for giving back. She loved the open road on her Harley Davidson and was always involved in fundraisers,  especially those benefiting children. One of her most cherished efforts was organizing a fundraiser for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Lisa had a special place in her heart for animals and gave generously of her time and spirit to causes close to her heart.

She is survived by her loving husband, Joseph Ribis; stepdaughter, Danielle Phillips (Christopher); her sisters, Rosemary Cillis (Theodore) and Joanne France (Kevin); three grandchildren; her cherished niece, Dr. Nicole Cillis; and nephews, Teddy Cillis, Brian France, and Derrick France and her devoted dog Nala.

Lisa was preceded in death by her parents, Salvadore and Isabel Vecchione.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave., Saratoga Springs, NY. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home prior to the service from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Lisa will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, her selfless heart, and her unwavering commitment to making the world a better place for both people and animals. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
