Laurie Brady Obituary

Laurie Ann Brady, born on January 6, 1962, in Saratoga Springs, New York, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2024, in Chesapeake, Virginia.

Laurie was the beloved daughter of Isabell Woodcock and the late Allyn Woodcock Sr. She was predeceased by her brothers, Allyn Woodcock Jr. and Kenneth Woodcock, and is survived by her brother Terry Woodcock.   For over 30 years, Laurie shared a loving marriage with her devoted husband, Thomas Brady. Together, they built a family that brought her immense joy and pride.

Laurie was the cherished mother of Victoria Sell (Samuel), Samantha Morgan (Brian), and James Herrington (Jessalyn). Her eight grandchildren—Isabella, Johnathan, Riley, Jackson, Luke, Elliot, Charlotte, and Noelle—were lovingly referred to as "her diamonds" and were the light of her life.

Laurie had an incredible gift for bringing people together with her enormous heart and generous spirt.  She was known for her willingness to help others, often giving selflessly even when she has little to spare.  Her love for family was boundless, she found immense joy in their company.   Whether through her delicious cooking or her artistic creations like intricate quilts and beautiful artwork, she expressed herself with creativity and care that touched everyone around her. Her creativity brought warmth and beauty to those around her.  Laurie’s legacy of love and kindness will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends. May her memory bring comfort to all who loved her.
