Kevin Ray Shattuck, of Saratoga Springs, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2025, following a lengthy illness. He was born on December 1, 1959 in Glens Falls, NY. He was the son of Wilbur Shattuck Sr. and Virginia Crandall. Kevin will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He was a kind, special person who truly loved life and brought laughter and light to everyone around him.
Kevin especially enjoyed camping and fishing with his big brother Willie Shattuck, his beloved Uncle David Crandall, and his nephew Cody Shattuck. He could recount every storyline from classic TV westerns and had an incredible memory for rock music — from lyrics to the artists who wrote and performed them. Kevin’s sharp wit, funny expressions, and sense of humor kept everyone smiling, even during the most challenging times.
Kevin also loved a good meal, and after enjoying one, he was known to say with a grin, “We made out like bandits!” His joyful spirit and love for life touched everyone who knew him.
He attended Hadley Luzerne Central School, and most recently resided in Saratoga Springs with his sister and caretaker, Joanne Shattuck, who provided him with loving care and companionship.
A special thank you to his nephew, Joseph Shute for his kindness and support during Kevin's recent hospital visits, and to our dear family friend, Bridget Connors for her on-going love for Kevin and our entire family.
Left to honor and cherish his memory are his loving mother Virginia Clark of Lake Luzerne, NY, brother Wilbur Jr. (Willie) and wife Lauren Shattuck of Stony Creek, NY; sisters Sheri Manasseri (Joseph) of Arizona, Joanne Shattuck of Saratoga Springs, NY, Wendy Diefendorf (Christian) of Albany, NY, Swade Shattuck (Alicia) of Ballston Spa, NY, Kurt Shattuck of Schenectady, NY. and Tina Shattuck (Edward) of Galway, NY; and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins, and nephews.
Kevin was predeceased by his father Wilbur Shattuck Sr., stepmother Edna Johnson, stepfather Harold (Jim) Guilder, and sister Debbie McCullough.
Kevin will be remembered for his humor, his generous heart, and his love for the simple joys in life. We will forever miss our beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend. God has gained another angel.
