Karen G. Stenzel

SARATOGA SPRINGS - Karen G. Stenzel, age 72, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 16, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on November 5, 1945 in Concord, NH, the daughter of the late Morton Geer and Mable Nelson Geer.

Karen started working at Eastman Kodak in Rochester, NY at the age of eighteen, retiring after 30+ years of service.  Her love for theater brought joy to her heart, she volunteered many hours to the Hometown Theater here in Saratoga.  She was a proud member of the After-Fire Program.  She was very outgoing and enjoyed meeting new people.  Karen was very involved in her church, she loved to serve the Lord. 

She is survived by her son, Jason Stenzel (Tania); brother, John Giles (Elaine); grandchild, Aiden and Jakob Stenzel; niece, Audrey Tarr (Kimball) and nephew, John Giles (Melisa); grand nieces and nephews, Duncan and Collin Tarr, Emily and Trevor Giles.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 4 Northcrest Dr, Clifton Park, NY 12065.  Family and Friends may call from 10 am to 10:45 am prior to the service at the church.
