Karen Boone Obituary

Karen Eileen Boone of Saratoga Springs passed away early morning June 21,2025.

Karen was born at St. Mary's Hospital in Troy, New York on September 1, 1962. Karen grew up in Clifton Park, New York where she attended Shenendehowa elementary and middle school until moving to Waco, Texas and attending Tennyson High school.  Karen returned to New York in the early 1980s and spent most of her years residing in Saratoga Springs, New York. Karen most recently worked at North Country Sports Medicine in billing and coding for many years in Queensbury New York, until her recent early medical retirement. Karen loved music, the ocean, nature, all animals, and the sound of babies’ laughter. Most of all, she loved God, her family, and especially her son, daughter and grandchildren.

Karen was predeceased by our mother, Janet Hassett of Wilton, New York and father Bernard Hassett of Wilton, New York.

She leaves behind her son, Lee Shannon of Saratoga Springs New York, Daughter, Jamie Lynn Graham of Waco, Texas, two grandchildren Caitlin and Cody Graham of Waco, Texas, and two great-grandchildren, Emmy and Ayva Graham of Waco, TX. She also leaves behind two brothers which include, Bernard Hassett, Greenwich,  NY, Thomas Hassett and sister in law, Michele of Saratoga Springs, NY, two sisters, Susan Hassett-Sporko, brother in law, Joseph, of Saratoga Springs,  NY,  and Kathleen Harris-Davis, brother in law,  Gerry, of Greenwich,  NY and several nieces and nephews who she adored as well as several cousins, aunts and uncles whom she also loved. In addition, she also leaves her beloved kitty, Oliver, who misses her dearly, as we all already do.

Karen had the most contagious and adorable giggle that will be missed very much. Although life for those who loved her most has forever changed on Earth, we take comfort that she is at peace with our Lord Jesus Christ.

There will be no public calling hours. A private celebration of life with immediate family will be held on July 3, 2025.
