Julie Cassidy

Julie (Ganisin) Cassidy passed away on July 21, 2024, at Saratoga Hospital, with loved ones at her side, after a short battle with cancer. She was 62 years old.

Julie was born in Binghamton, NY, and raised there,  and later in Liverpool, NY. As a young adult she lived in Florida and then settled in the Saratoga area, where she lived until the time of her death. She was married to the love of her life, James Cassidy, who tragically passed away on their 11th anniversary.

Julie had a career in the hospitality business and was a popular bartender at the Publik House for many years.

Julie loved spending time with her family and friends. She had a particular fondness for her friends and neighbors at the Franklin Community Center. Julie enjoyed reading and decorating her home, which was a bright and lovely place to be. She had an infectious smile and a cheerful word for everyone.

Julie was predeceased by her husband James Cassidy, and parents Joy and Tom Smith and Michael Ganisin.  She is survived by her sisters Michelle (Daniel) Larkin, Saratoga Springs, NY, and Karen Faraone, Clifton Park, NY; nieces Erica (Patrick) Mercurio, Destiny Walker, nephews Jeremy Ganisin, Shane (Amanda) Larkin, and grandnieces and grandnephews.
