Joseph Leary Obituary

Joseph Leary, age 65, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 9, 2021, at his home in Middle Grove, NY with his family by his side.

He was born on September 30, 1956, in Manhattan, NY, the son of the late Joseph F. Leary and Joyce Grassfield Leary.

Joe worked as a truck driver for many years before graduating from Schenectady County Community College with an associates degree in computer sciences. After which he began his career with Bank of America as an IT Engineer for over 20 years.

Joe enjoyed working on his model cars, playing the slot machines and traveling to casinos, and spending time watching TV with his dogs while eating Lays potato chips (Betcha can't eat just one-bag). He enjoyed traveling both for work and pleasure. He was known as a practical joker and his sense of humor will be missed.

Joe is survived by his loving wife Patricia Leary; sons Joshua Leary (Raeven), Kevin Leary, Justin Bessette (Mandy), David Decanio; daughters Karin Bombard (Gregory), and Jennifer Falcon; brother Michael Leary (Colleen); sister Suzanne Poche; grandchildren Dylan O'Bryan, Anthony Bessette, Lexie Bessette, Morgan Bombard, Alexander Bombard, and Elias Padilla; many nieces and nephews; and many friends.

Friends and family are invited to gather at the home of Karin Bombard on Sunday, October 24 at 1 :00 pm to share a "cup of Joe" and celebrate Joe's life.
